Instructions
- Cook the macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and whisk in flour to make a roux.
- Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until smooth and thickened.
- Add cheddar and mozzarella cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
- Mix in barbecue sauce and cooked BBQ chicken; season with salt and pepper.
- Combine the cheese sauce with cooked pasta, and top with chopped green onions.
- Serve hot with extra cheese or sauce if desired.
Notes
- For extra smoky flavor, add a dash of smoked paprika or cayenne pepper.
- Use leftover grilled chicken for convenience.
