Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla, and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until combined.
- Mix together sugar and cinnamon for coating in a shallow bowl.
- Shape dough into 1 1/2-inch balls, then roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Place on prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
- Allow to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
