Soft, buttery garlic rolls that are fluffy inside and crispy on top, infused with garlic and herbs for a delicious side or snack.

  • Total Time: 1 hour 33 minutes
  • Yield: 10 rolls

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and melted butter. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes.
  3. Cover bowl and let dough rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide into 8-10 pieces. Shape into rolls.
  5. Place rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Let rise again for 20 minutes.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown. Brush with melted garlic butter and sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • You can add grated cheese or herbs to customize the rolls.
  • Ensure milk is warm but not hot to activate yeast properly.
