- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- ¼ cup sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add melted butter, egg, and salt. Mix well.
- Gradually add flour, kneading until a soft dough forms.
- Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Divide dough into 12 equal pieces and shape into rolls. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Mix minced garlic with a few tablespoons of melted butter and brush over the tops of the rolls.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- Ensure milk is warm, not hot, to activate yeast properly.
- You can brush additional garlic butter over the rolls after baking for extra flavor.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days and reheated.
