  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 4 cups beef or vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 8 oz lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add diced tomatoes, broth, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a boil.
  3. Stir in broken lasagna noodles and cook until tender, about 10 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top. Cover and let melt.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
