Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla, mixing well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, mixing until combined.
- Fold in cherries and chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing evenly.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, until edges are set.
- Cool on wire racks before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute fresh cherries with dried cherries for longer shelf life.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes for thicker cookies.
