- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup fresh blackberries
- 1 cup dark chocolate frosting
- Edible silver dust for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla, and buttermilk. Mix until smooth.
- Divide batter evenly into prepared pans. Gently fold blackberries into the batter.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool completely.
- Spread dark chocolate frosting between layers and over the top. Garnish with fresh blackberries and edible silver dust.
